Having cut his musical teeth over the last 10 years on the Sheffield scene with various originals bands, Darren later founded the original Red Mosquito along with current drummer Lee, ex front-man Matt and guitarist Quo, and embarked on a rocktastic journey until the commitment of Ice Hockey wrenched him away from RM’s world of rock.

Having hung up his skates, Darren founded the Sha Sha’s (originals band) and hooked up with Matt to deliver some sublime rock music (obviously bias!) only for the Sha’s to go on hiatus when RM commitments meant that Matt had to depart.

Fate seemed to have intervened when Matt mentioned that RM were looking for a bass player/singer and within the hour Darren was in contact with Lee and the rest, they say, is history.

Darren has also joined forces with the Dropout Dogs, a rock covers/oringals bands and when not rocking with RM, he'll be rocking with the Dogs!
